Well... the short version is that I didn't know how to read blanked out posts. I'd read the FAQ when I first started, but I'd forgotten the reference. I asked a question, but as soon as I posted it it occurred to me to highlight the text and that was the answer.

Instead of deleting my Q I added a sort of "Oh, I'm an idiot! Sorry for wasting your time" bit - I was new, and trying to join in. The mod came along and was rude to me publicly. I responded (politely) in public, and she deleted my response, added another insult and told me to correspond in email, if at all. I responded again in public, as that's where she was insulting me. She banned me :)

I already had two IDs, as I'd forgotten the password for my HP one some time earlier. I still post with this one on the Fanfic thread from time to time, but it was a long time before I went back. I felt very bad about it - after all, I don't think I've ever been banned from anything before! - until the recent spate of bannings, at which stage I made an icon and moved on :)

Good job I didn't attempt to post the long version! :)

Yeah, I would hate to be resposible for you angering yourself into cardiac arrest or something. You know, I love TWoP's safe, controlled feeling...but...every now and again, when I'm joking about it's strictness on LJ, I get the feeling I'm being watched *shifty eyes*
