Memoirs from 2034 (#4)

I took my sister to the AI kiosk doctor last month. My sister had been having some dizziness and mild headaches. The AI kiosk doctor prescribed some pain relievers and I took her home.

She wasn't feeling any better this week, so I took her back to the kiosk.  I received a printout after she had gone to sit in the waiting area indicating we may wish to check her into the hospital at our earliest convenience.  Astonished, I asked the AI why he didn't mention the seriousness of the symptoms earlier.  He replied with the even calmness of all AI everywhere that he didn't want to unnecessarily alarm us earlier, but the situation had progressed now to a point where treatment was indicated.

*sigh*  This isn't the singularity I'd hoped for.
