Dunno if I've mentioned it, but I've gone back to school, one long night a week, seeking that ever elusive undergraduate degree. I am starting here, now, as a Junior, with hopes of graduating in the Class of '11.

It's a Jesuit school. You know those guys, they're the ones that like the philosophy and personal growth and intuited, embraced, involved learning. It seems like they are not so much about 'dry facts regurgitation' as they are about the holistic fit of the person in their intended environment.

The first class in the series is a writing course. Useful for students. Useful to the Profs reading the papers, too. Seriously, I'd hate to be the one to drive a Prof to suicide by pen from reading an essay I'd written.

Trouble is, these are autobiographical essays. Sure, they give you a focus for the paper, but it's a b r o a d focus. They really wanna find about you and what you've learned from life. What you can see about things back when from now.

And here I was, living along with all my blinders successfully fitted to my hindsight.
