A story filed yesterday by the AP suggests that Swine Flu (H1N1) is still quite contagious - even after the fevers cease. Near the bottom of the story are three studies that show longer and higher virus shed rates than previously assumed.
This critter is apparently awfully hardy. According to another
article that relates findings by an AU WHO study center, there's a strain that's been working out and has mutated to be resistant to the antiviral drug Relenza. Also according to that story, Japanese scientists are finding strains of the virus with Tamiflu resistance as well.
