Maybe I am just too stuffy about these things
On our way home today,
gramina and I saw a young man on skateboard, skateboarding along merrily while talking on a cell phone.
While I think more caution might have been in order wrt cellphone distraction, this young man also:-- was in the middle of the traffic lane
-- was exceeding the speed limit
-- ran a stop sign at a three way intersection full out
-- was not talking on a headset (cell to his ear)
-- didn't have on any pads or a helmet.
Don't they have rules for skateboarding? They made me learn rules for riding a bike... and that was even back in the dark ages - before they even thought about bicyclists needing helmets.
*I feel like I should be shouting, "Hey, get off my lawn, ya darn kids!"*
