Well, it's been a while, so I thought I'd give a little update for those who don't read MySpace..
The new job is superb, and apparently I got out of the old one just in time - all but two people quit right after I did...I'm glad I was the first to go, things would've just gotten worse as each person left. DEP, however, has been great. It will take some time for me to settle in and feel comfortable there, but that's to be expected in any new job, and I'm certainly not concerned about it. They've already turned me loose with no more "real" training, which feels kind of odd and I feel a bit lost, but what I do is fun so I'll just go with the flow, and learn as I go. So far, I've had no trouble finding help fixing any problems I've encountered. I've also been trying to go out in the field with other people to get a feel for what they do. Because this is a temporary position with no benefits, I'd like to move on to something else eventually, and the more I know about the various goings-on in the department, the more capable I'll be of moving on.

The horsies are doing fine...old, but fine. There's a possibility Pee-Wee might not make it through another hot summer, but I'll deal with that when the time comes. Hopefully he'll start sweating properly again and the heat won't be as much of an issue.

We went to Key West to visit Russ's mom and for his birthday...it was wonderful to get away for an entire weekend, and we had a blast. His mom is so much fun. Pictures are posted on MySpace if anyone is interested.

Christmas was fun, though not in the least relaxing, and I decided I need to stop thinking that ANY holiday is ever going to be relaxing :) (However, we did stay in for New Year's Eve, which was wonderfully enjoyable!)
It was a great family time, and I got to meet a bunch of Russ's relatives...plus I got to take care of Mason for Sam for three weeks. I miss the heck out of that little guy.

Other than that, I can't think of much to say...though that might just be because I'm exhausted =) I like that about my job: it wears the hell out of me, so I sleep better at night.

I'm hungry and skipped lunch today, so I'm thinking dinner sounds great right about now.
