Wheeeee!!!
I'll be updating this pretty much only when I'm at work, since Myspace is blocked here (boooo!).
I'm in an incredibly good mood today, despite the fact that I'm stuck at work again. I'll be finally getting my ever-desired 10pm-8:30am shift this week, Mon-Thurs. If they try to pull me off of it again I'll ask how they'd like to suddenly have to come into work at midnight instead of 8am, because that's what it's like for me when they try to switch me every other week. Going in at 5 or 6 in the morning all week last week really kicked my ass because I couldn't sleep at night. However, I feel great now - yesterday was an incredibly relaxing day, and after I finished with the cookie-making madness I brought some over to Russ and Rob, and Russ helped me decorate their house for Halloween. It looks great, though there's still a lot I'd like to do - it was getting late and I needed to go to bed so I could be here at 7:30 this morning hehe.
Eeek...Sam from the OR just called and asked if I could bring her one of our charged zone phone batteries because hers was dying...and I kinda dropped it down the elevator shaft, so now we only have two spares =(
I called Plant Ops to get it out, but I know it's destroyed - I heard it shatter. Oh well, I don't particularly care, and we desperately need new ones anyway so maybe they'll get us at least one.
Anyway....I'm excited about this new schedule because I actually have two weekends off coming up, yes, TWO!! So I'll get out at 8:30 Friday morning and not have to go back til 10:00 Monday night! Rob is going to Tampa I think Saturday, and Russ might go with him and wants me to go as well. I'd really like to, but I need to figure out what I need to get done that weekend and make sure I can, and make sure we'd have time to visit people, because I don't want to go if I won't have time to hang out with them. Amanda and I were planning to do some glass etching that weekend, and I've already put that off twice so I'd feel like a jerk if I did it again, though I think we can do that Friday. I just have to make sure I take a nap before I go over there hehe. We also wanted to carve jack-o-lanterns, which I haven't done in a very long time so I'm really looking forward to it. I do really want to go to Tampa, though...I haven't been back since I moved. Though I suppose I could go later. The way I look at it, I have two weekends off, and if things work out well and DEP hires me, I'll continue to have them off because they don't ever work weekends yay!
I wanted to go to Halloween Horror Nights one of those two weekends, because I've never gone to that one, but I don't think Russ really wants to, and I probably shouldn't spend the money anyway.
I need a Halloween costume....any ideas???
