So true, I was pretty shocked when I saw the pic of Lupita that inspired the white version tee. Wow. This happens way too often when it comes to artwork and graphics online! I remember many years back I've made these desktop wallpapers of a popular actor. Hours of work has been put into each of them though I didn't "own" the pictures/photos used. They were like art collages. A while later this stupid eBay seller was selling them on eBay as CUSHIONS! He printed them on cushions and was auctioning them. O__O He removed the items after I sent him an angry email. He backed away because of the bad exposure/hits he could get from my site. And I think it's much, much worse when it's your own artwork and illustrations that are being used without permission.
They're indeed very cute, I especially love the blond Blythe version (I hope that one wasn't inspired by an existing doll, too!). My eyes lit up when I spotted them and I was so giddy! :)
God thats awful about the cushions. As an artist myself, I'm so warey of artwork being stolen! but in most cases it's unavaoidable, you just have to be really diligant about it and kick up a fuss if someone does steal stuff (creative commons copyrights and all that, I believe you did have copyright on the collage images even though the photos you used weren't yours you'd changed them so they're counted as yours, I think!). I couldn't find the actually picture of lupita, but the image just looks so much like her anyway with the red bow and hair!
The blonde blythe is ace, loving the leopard print! Might have to invest in one of those! How much were they? we have a zara here in manchester, here's hoping they have them!
