Photos from Mackay
I might do a trip report later about the Mackay floods but for now I will just post some photos.
The line on the wall is where the flood waters peaked. In a lot of houses, it was above the window sills. This is in Glenella somewhere which was hit hard.
Lots of houses were for sale but are now cancelled until the insurance work is cleared.
The retaining wall turned into a waterfall at this house. The pool is now unsafe and parts of the wall have been found in the school below 50 metres away.
