The problem with a problem....is that it didn't disappear just because one ignored it or pretended it didn't exist. And Leona was the best at pretending, most of the time.

But not today.

She'd skipped out of work because Thursday was close enough to a weekend that no one would care, and besides- what was she really doing that was going to save ( Read more... )

"Go 'way," Leona slurred as she lifted her head up slowly and fumbled for an empty glass. Why wasn't it full of delicious beer? Why?

"I don't want to talk right now. I just..." She stood up on wobbly legs as she picked up the pint glass and waved it around. "I want some more bloody beer."

"What?" She said, blinking at the screen while swaying a bit dangerously one those impossibly high heels.

"Yeah...whatever." She just need to find someplace to sit, and more beer. A place to be alone for a little while in her own private misery.
