She looks up when the door swings open to usher in another escapee from the cold. She smiles when she sees Clive. He looks like he needs a drink more than she does. Stuff going on with the Spades as usual, disappearing Kings, ghosts rising from the dead, hounds of hell...or maybe just a bad day. Deck brats of an age, they're all familiar with each other to one extent or another, so it's simple enough to wave a hello.
"Escaping the looney bin? I have it on good authority no one ever looks in the pubs. Afraid of what they might find."

He ordered his drink, picking at the cuffs of his shirt a little before looking back at Tess curiously. "And yourself? What brings you here?"

David had wandered off Deck and left no word behind. That or been abducted by Aliens or the Arcana. Her favorite rumor was where he'd gone mad and Katya had ordered him walled up inside a tower room. Any way you looked at it, the king had pulled a runner and other Cards, including Jacks, had been left pulling up the slack.
"Wouldn't be surprised if you told me your work load's doubled. All things considered, I have the best of it. My clients don't talk back." Well, not in English at any rate.
