Briony took the bait and the reins and ran with the Garden in the Green even though Cooper had backed her into the project. She'd been a good sport about it. The least he could do was contribute his own half to the equation. So he took charge of removing the trees felled from the Asarlai's magical explosion. Most he'd had chopped into mulch, mulch he'd be spreading over the beds Briony and her cohort of minions had planted.

But one trunk had spoken to him. One trunk he saved from the chipper. Wood isn't his normal medium, but he'd sculpted wood before. Different tools, different techniques, but art is art. Today he's loaded the results in the bed of his pickup and plans to put it in place.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes people to notice the meeting of fairies occurring in the tangle of fern and conifer.
