There was no visible reaction to the

And at that point he'd almost run to the shop to find out for himself what was going on.
And while it wasn't as bad as he'd started to believe it was, it still wasn't great as Hadyn worried at his bottom lip and paced in front of the shop for a while, trying to think of what to do. To go see Jordan? He hadn't really heard from his brother in a few days, and the news about Meghana's leaving was delayed to his ears as well- and most trumped by Nico's sudden disappearance the that day. "Still...rumors would have me believe you were in traction or dead. So, forgive me if I'm a little...upset."

"Sorry."

Well, things like 'hi I nearly died'. Or something.
"Maybe agree to having dinner or lunch once a week too."

It's sort of a family thing.
It's sort of a family thing that has him just looking at Hadyn when he suggests this lunch, dinner thing. But it's a good idea, he supposed, and he nodded. "The first few weeks should probably be here or in the Heart district, while I'm on these."

"Look on the bright side- you can milk everyone else for a little bit of sympathy if you stop biting their heads off."

"But hitting people on the head with a crutch is the only fun part."

Hearts were, and always would be, little mice in some respects.

He was tired of pretending, especially today. "Do you ever wish we could just go home?"
