The hour that power goes on in Diamond Castle, Vasiliy put on the moth balled snow outfit, old waterproof work boots, and began to head to the stables. Apparently Drew Montgomery had an excellent idea about hitching horses up and getting things done. There were pretty high snow drifts and there were a lot of people who hadn't had much contact and even less heat. There were Old People, young families, poor families, and new families who were still adjusting to the culture of the Deck and probably didn't have things needed.
And damned if he's going to let the Diamonds look weak in this mess.
His own horse, an budyonny named Felix, was hitched up along one of his friends among the Fives loaned him the use of his draft horse Mighty and Beast. Vasiliy used one of the old fancy sleds that no one had the heart to toss out in hopes of refurbishing it if it became trendy. Shame, shame. Someone's going to have to clean it up.
Because there are people stranded and people who need help, Diamond or not.
He wouldn't mind volunteers but he's willing to go at it alone.
