Well. She can't say she wasn't half-expecting this, but she certainly wasn't expecting how it would go. She'd sought out Silas with some questions- small, important, needing only the approval of the King or Queen. Instead he'd set a small stack of paperwork in her hands and left without a word.
The first sheet is titled: Ascension to Position of Queen.
Things are quickly and quietly set in order after that. Silas is already so preoccupied by his worries over Rachel, over Isaac- he's best out of the way, for the moment. His insistence on getting drunk makes it easy for Säde to have him sent Outside while he's too hungover to object. He needs to see his son before it's too late.
Messages are discreetly sent to the other Suits. There will be no coronation for Säde, not at this time. At this time the Suit needs no more change, nothing that makes waves too much for an ordinary Diamond to ignore. They are already grieving; this is hardly likely to change their mood.
It certainly has not altered hers.
