Many of her Numbers may have forgotten, but the Queen was actually a very accomplished archer. She had not practiced in public for many years, partly because she wished her people to focus more on diplomacy and the political arts... But now, with Lancelot's death and Alexander's new idea for group training and the threat of the Arcana and everything, she thought it might be prudent to practice in public.
So there she was, for once in something less formal: a split riding "skirt" and a crisp white blouse. Still not exactly informal, but much less ornate than her usual. Argine raised the longbow, aimed for just under three seconds as she held her breath, and loosed an arrow. Fifty yards away, it hit inside the center of four circles. Not bad.
