A new store has shown up recently in the Town. It hardly looks open right now and the inside looks a bit more like a fabric factory ran out of space and sent all their excess to the tiny two-story shop. It seems like someone built up instead of across, but hey, it could work.

The sign outside says Tailored Suits, but it's hard to say if that was ( Read more... )

Curiosity, more than anything, was what prompted Julien to pause in his walk from the Town back to the Spade Castle. The tailor's shop was new and, he believed, the proprietor was a Spade. So it's not much of a decision at all for him to turn and enter Charlie's door and look around. Due to the press of stuff, he won't step too far in but he will make sure to clear his throat when he sees the top of Charlie's head coming from behind a stack of boxes.

"Good afternoon."

Charlie rocked onto the balls of his feet to peek over a box before coming out from behind them. That voice was very distinguishable. At least to him.

Oh.

OH.

Charlie had made certain to find out at least something of the order of his own suit as soon as he returned. Old habits were surprisingly easy to fall back into. Julien was a Spade. Regardless of what had happened while he was away, a Two was the lowest suit. He ducked into a quick bow as soon as there was space for it.

"Good Afternoon, M'lord."

Julien smiled slightly, all surface civility, "you've just opened, then?"

He could be coming back some other time to see what services were available.

"Yes, I apologise for the state of things. I assure you it will not look this way, normally."

No. Charlie liked order. He needed it enough that it drove him back to the deck.

"I am open, however. If you needed anything?"

A smile that was as much surface civility as Julien, and perhaps just the slightest bit under-toned. He just arrived back to the Spades and here he was faced with the suit's Ace. He could not afford to make a mess of this meeting.

Tailored Suits was a shop name that seemed like it would appeal more to the gentlemen she knew - not just Victor, though she might mention it to him, the entire suit-wearing contingent of the Spades. And she's not one of their number. But new shops don't appear everyday in the Deck, so after a moment she gently pushes open the door and steps in.

"Hello?"

Charlie had been filling the drawers along one wall with carefully folded and organized stacks of fabric and cloth when Zoë entered. He glanced over and offered one of his best smiles. Any potential business was welcome business right now.

"Hello, can I help you?"

He was still new to being back. Still learning faces. But he was fairly certain she was a Spade, as well.

She was a Spade, though still a new enough one - and a nice enough one, apparently - that people still tended to think of her as a Heart. It was only sometimes a bad thing.

Zoe smiled as she came up to the counter, looking around. "I'm Zoe," she says, because even if he's from here, and returned, she doubts he remembers a girl who would have been thirteen. "Are you opening soon?"

Charlie had a hard time remembering most of the people in the Deck, though there were a few he had been close to as a kid, and of course, the higher ranking Spades. Zoe wasn't one of the ones he remembered, which he would blame later on his mostly being isolated to the Spade Castle, growing up.

"Charlie." A smile, carefully constructed but friendly enough. "I am actually open now. You will have to forgive the mess. Still ... finding places for everything." Including himself.

"Were you needing something taken in?"

Frankly, Evan's still re-settling himself. There's a lot to do, perhaps not surprisingly, to get ready to move for longer than two months--as well as to get back from being gone almost two months. As well as, you know. Just being a Four.

But that doesn't mean he doesn't swing through Town frequently. That he doesn't hear the little murmurs about who's breezing into and out of their world.

That he isn't banging on the door of Tailored Suits today with a bright grin. "Oi. Oi! Chuck?"

Danielle had learned of the store from a Diamond Card that lived in town. The woman was intrigued by it. It's been so long since a new store opened in town. But she had too much IM work to still accomplish since she was discreetly butting head with her boss.

So the Seven sent her cousin to look at it to see what it's like. Who knows. It might be a store Danielle will frequent. Meaning Andrea had to leave a good impression as well. Wearing clothing that befitted her age but flattered her, making her feel out of place since she had grown used to her sweaters and long skirts, the Spade first peers through the window to see if someone is there. Maybe...? She enters soon enough, knocking on the door as she does.

"Hello? Hello?"
