There's a few reasons she goes to the Spades Castle. First off she needs to drop off her report. It's... fairly scant compared to her last one. Speaking to the Fool had been frustrating and he actually become defensive when she attempted to talk about the Star. Or the other Arcana cards. Still, her goal wasn't quite to dig out information from the Fool but it spurned a curiosity as well as a scant report.
Sandy wants to talk to Asarlai because she's curious now. A conversation with the Jack of Spades gave her the courage to consider even going to the Magic Princess Castle, maybe another talk would give her the courage to go alone and speak to its most powerful resident. Of course, the last time she and the Jack spoke was... yeah. She's going to have to vent to Zoe after talking to Sieben. Because she has a job she wants to do and this is just one more step in maturity.
So she heads to the place she had been taught to be terrified of, Spade Castle. Oh, there's still many she's nervous of around here. Even the gentlemen she intends to deliver her report to is someone who she should be nervous of. However, Sandy is learning the art of faking it. walk down the halls, head up high, don't care about gazes or the fact she stands in contrast with colors and retailed priced clothes; old blue jeans (paint splattered) and her orange Mets racerback top (because her boys are playing the Phillies). And eight little blue flower pins in her hair (team spirit is a good thing, right? Right.)
Really, it's all about the report and courage. Honest.
She bounces past Zoe's desk with a mutter of, "Your boss is … you boss is... I don't even. Story later." More motion and movement. Then she knocks on the Jack's office door because she's not that free spirited and those rumors do fly.
"Little pig, little pig, let me come in?" She calls sing-song after the knock, hand on hip, other hand clutching the report (whose copy will be given to Wren), and simply waits.
