Yet another of the Plot posts

She drops to to a low duck in what's called the Elephant stance as the blade, a broadsword, swooshes over her head. She doesn't even consider it an attack on her life as her foot slides forward, torso still bowed, and eyes on her opponent. An arm shoots out, knocking the blade from the Four's hand a and winding her body with the Four's on the next step. Quicker than one would think, her hand shots out, slapping the young man's face. She can see how startled the kid is in his intense blue eyes, not quite use to being slapped in a training fight.

Because you don't get slapped in a fight.

Being slapped is a sign of humiliation for most. For Meghana, being slapped was the quickest warning to move before the next strike. A slap to the face opens up a channel for a pressure point strike in the solar plexus. Her hands slide back, crossing over her chest, giving the youth a moment to recover, a moment to consider something is about to happen - she's giving the little shit a Goddamn opening. If she was fighting one of her cousins, they'd take this opportunity to go after one of her exposed pressure points. A straight kick, a nerkal, could probably take her out right now and the nerkal is mainly done for stretching. But the young man attacks sloppily and she strikes at the solar plexus with another open hand cut. He gurgles and falls down in pain. Never has she had a death in training. It didn't help her or the kid fighting her. But they always miss the key point. Stop thinking a blade will solve all your problems. Never think someone is out when you've disarmed them. Never think you can always trust Western cultural values.

She bows to the young man who is groaning and attempting to get up. With a sigh Meghana walks over and then yanks him up by the arm. When he manages to stand, she begins to walk away. Unlike some, she doesn't actively try to prove how big and bad she is by maiming or killing.

Usually someone at Meghana's level in kalaripayattu is supposed to use a massage to help with the injury but Kanja and Jagan refused to teach her and there's nothing in Papa's books on what to do with a sports injury or healing massage beyond prep and muscle relaxing. Funny, in theory she could kill a man but she can't heal him. Maybe it's supposed to unbalance her psychologically or some bullshit. Whatever, morning exercise and training was done, she's got work to do.

She just lets one of the other Fours who didn't get hit in a pressure point to help the young man to Dr. Johnson or whomever is manning the clinic. She gathers her vaal - sword - from the ground, the Vishnu statute in the corner of the training room, and with all the intention in the world to have a cool down walk, a shower, a power bar, and then it's back to work in the IT Office.

(ooc: Approach Meghana in the hallway or the training room. Sieben should be speaking to Meghana first. Zoe second. Anyone else will be 'last' and Meghana will be doing much line facing and not talking much about the Andrea plot, be aware she either doesn't know or does not feel like sharing her duties with you.)
