Process of Elimination

So much for moving to the Upper West Side.  The would-be roommate turned out to be a total train wreck.  I had an inkling of bad things to come when I first set foot in her apartment this morning.  At once my nostrils were assaulted by the scent of cheap, musty perfume.  Meanwhile, the TV was blasting right there in the living room.  Who watches the Weather Channel while vetting a prospective housemate?

We sat down on the couch and started exchanging pleasantries, most of which I couldn't hear because we were IN FOR A SUNNY DAY HERE IN MANHATTAN. After a few minutes, I broke down and asked if she couldn't possibly turn the TV down.  She did just that -- turned it down a couple of bars.

The search for living quarters goes on.  I have until the end of June, so it's not yet time to panic.  Meanwhile, I'm focusing on studying for the LSAT and seducing my bridge teacher.  Neither of which I have started to do, or even formulated a plan for accomplishing.
