She drops to to a low duck in what's called the Elephant stance as the blade, a broadsword, swooshes over her head. She doesn't even consider it an attack on her life as her foot slides forward, torso still bowed, and eyes on her opponent. An arm shoots out, knocking the blade from the Four's hand a and winding her body with the Four's on the next

He falls into step with her before she can pause. "I understand you have a project in your office, in the form of obstinate laptops." From Andrea, he doesn't add aloud, but he can't imagine Meghana has too many piles of heavily-encrypted laptops sitting around.

The Ten doesn't make a face, her features smooth and lips set. For all her seeming lack of desire of social cues, she recognizes the tone. "Lord Jack." It's time to work.
She doesn't look at him when he falls into pace besides her, though. "Your little birdy would be right. It's something to do during the lull between mending trouble issues among the departments." Between dealing with some scant online threats, anyway.

"I'd like you to move them to the top of your priority list. Technical support can wait. We need access to the information on those laptops. How much time do you estimate it will take you, now that you've made an assessment?"

"That can easily be done." There's a terse moment, because she's not if she's speaking to someone who knows that technologically is a motherfucking bitch to master and mistakes could ruin everything. "The first laptop, I believe a personal one, is proving to be interesting. Once I shower and dress and spend the rest of the day and night on it, I'll be able to get inside of it and save the contents. However the work computer might even prove more difficult." A pause. "Forgive me in saying it might take a week."

She did take a shower, but she wasn't dressed in her uniform. Unusual for a spade. Jeans, a batwing tunic blouse. The closest she'll ever get to being comfortable and casual on Deck. She's about to open the door to the IT Office when she hears Zoe's voice.
“Good morning, Ms. Kattalakis.” There's a slight pause, "You may."
Zoe is the Jack's assistant, after all.

She's still in her uniform, or as close to a uniform as she gets - a pale coral silk dress that does nothing to conceal the bright pink scar on her upper arm from the stitches she'd had removed just that morning, skintone leather flats, hair hanging in dark waves just past her shoulders and clipped back on one side with a silver barrette. The harmless pretty girl.

Meghan give a slow nod at the the mention of Andrea's name, "What do you know, I've got stuff of hers right in this office." She begins to unlock the door. It's so nice to be able to have locks again. "Your boss know about this idea of yours?"
Never trust the pretty Spade girls. Even the gentle looking ones.

"Meghana?"
Not official business with him - his official business is one floor up and two halls down, in the Spade library, with the repaired book he's returned - but. He thought he'd drop in.
For fun.

When you don't have someone sane (relatively speaking) in charge of the place, slackers and people lower than the rank of Four can't enforce the habit. She's got retrain the Spades all over again.
FHL.
She doesn't hear the knock, muttering under her breath as she deals with her touch pad with the pass word application on it. She hisses quietly. “Apa gandagi ka tukara... Kholo!*”
Of course, the piece of shit laptop isn't going to be easily cracked*. Not for English or Hindi. She freezes, though, when she heard the familiar voice. The laptop she was working on was closed. She touched the touchpad on her work laptop and it quickly woke up.
“Hello, Jordan. The door's unlocked.”
There. Inconspicuous.
