Tried something a little different.

I was using one picture of Pave's and one of Grisser's as reference, but when I looked at it again this morning, it just reminded me somewhat of the style of the guy who writes Fur-Piled (Magna) (<3). I like these faces more than my others, though, I think I'll keep trying to draw like this... It looks slightly less cartoony, too; I really don't think a predominantly anime style is for me. Also, looking at it again now... in the second picture, the far ear is too far to the left. Oops.

Other than that, though, there's not much to say... Some company was interested in my resume and asked to see my transcript. Let's hope there's a job offer in the future for me after all. Also, I finished up the review of the final exam for econ and optimization with my professor over the phone yesterday... No more worries about that, my grade's closed at an A and he said that after we talked about the exam he felt that I was given the right grade. This closes me chemE GPA at 3.50, woohoo. How's that for two whole years of not studying, huh?! Eat that, college!

Oh, and I started some book called Game of Thrones... It's started out fairly interesting, but I've been so distracted with other stuff as of late (drawing, Eureka 7 which I just started watching (I love the characters!), 名探偵コナン, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (however half-assed the game was), and my everyday preoccupation with furry, of course), so I'm quickly losing track. Oh, well, too bad, I'll end up reading the damn book twelve times anyway.

Oh, hey, and I have to put some songs into piano. I began reading High School Days by Teiran again, but got distracted by listening to music and trying to think of ways to arrange it in piano... It's sort of unfortunate that songs cannot all just be directly transliterated into piano and still be playable (I think I posted my version of Grip! from 犬やしゃ before as well as my version of Radical Dreamers from Chrono Cross, where Radical Dreamers is literally everything in the song just written down for piano and Grip! is impossible to play the way it's written), which I think can be done in the case of 焼きたて!!ジャパン's Merry Go Round end theme - more or less - but certainly not with that show's 小さな歌 or Eureka 7's DAYS... but it forces the arranger to be a bit more creative with the arrangement, which is good. I think my arrangement of 焼きたて!!ジャパン's Re:START was a good excercise to that purpose, even though I'm still not entirely satisfied with it.

I also ought to mention that I got my stuffed husky (the one in my icon wearing the glasses!) in the mail today. I'd left it at the apartment... Glad to have it back. It's so adorable and huggable and whatnot!

... Right. I might be going out to dinner and a movie with a high school friend later - X-Men 3 The Last Stand, or some such nonsense. It looks pretty good, at the very least for the action if not necessarily the plot.
