Tmesis: n. a figure of speech in which one word is inserted into another word. An infix.
Tonight I learned this word from the National Spelling Bee. I had spent a few hours out with a realtor with Rachel and Darcy and came home to find Jason rapturously glued to the aforementioned program. Such a dorky boy, that one. Though since he almost got to the Bee himself back in the day, one can hardly question his devotion.
Week two of six of summer session 1 is now done. You will all be impressed that two days ago I took a multiple-choice reading quiz on reading that I had never done, on a book that I had never even seen. My score? 6/6. This does not inspire me to do my reading.
