Lookin' forward to this weekend for some reason. This week has taken forever to come to a close, and I'm ready for some relaxing time. Got a full plate of gaming ahead of me, as I continue my quest to catch up on console games I've missed out on the last few years.
See, at some point around 2001, I got heavy into PC gaming. Really got into First Person Shooters and an MMO. As a result, I've missed out one some quality shizzle. Over the last year or so, I've played Windwaker, Metroid Prime, the first Halo, and Silent Hill 2. These are some absurd games to have missed, but seriously.. Dark Age of Camelot was bad ass at the time, and was a priority. :P Besides, by focusing on these older games, I'm spending a lot less money, as the bargain bin is my ally.
At EBGames, they have this sweet deal where you buy 2 used games get a third one free. This is the perfect weapon in my quest. Picked up Max Payne, the original Splinter Cell, and Elder Scrolls III Morrowind. Now, Splinter Cell I've already played, but I've never owned it, so just sort of picked it up as the freebie. Really looking forward to Max Payne and Morrowind, though. Morrowind will probably end up being one of those games I end up slowly beating over the next year or so, but it looks great. Once I catch up a bit with these and the other newer games I've picked up, I'll be ready to continue slowly working backwards. On the list right now is the original Pikimin, Ninja Gaiden, XIII, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.
I will catch up, damn it! I cannot fail!
