Proposed Comm Merger
The mods here and at housefic_meta are talking about joining forces to merge into one LJ community that will serve both writers and readers.
The two communities share a fair amount of overlap in both focus and membership. Rather than to re-invent the wheel, we'd like to make it easier on everyone who drops in to discuss what makes a good story.
In the fanfiction world, there's far less separation between readers and writers than in traditional fiction. And so we feel discussion of issues from the perspective of both readers and writers should take place in the same arena.
The proposed new community will include the best aspects of the two communities, with The Clinic's resources and writing exercises and Meta's great discussion, recs and The Hall of Fame all continuing in their new home.
