Differential Diagnosis People: Teddy House

As Whitney once said, "Crack is whack." Right? Or is it? In Ireland, crack (or craic) is the best fun, in the best ways. So something out of the ordinary to consider in this week's nomination.

Two more fics will be coming up in this round of nominations. Next week is "Eden Sank To Grief," by Shutterbug_12 then we wrap up with "In Transit" by lightlikewater.

Just thinking about this story makes me laugh - every fandom needs zombies, teeny tiny Houses and teddy Houses. It may sound odd, but give it a go.

I adored this story from the very first chapter and only grew to love it more and more with each passing chapter. It is hilariously funny, but it touches lightly on some serious issues as well (House thinking TV dinners are good enough for him comes to mind, and Wilson who learns the hard way that he'd be lost without House when House well, gets lost himself).

What's really admirable is the way in which the author manages to keep all characters in character extremely well. Also the way in which the events are explained make perfect sense.

It's charming, and funny, and sweet, and cute, and serious, and hot, and the ending is utterly perfect. I love this series.

I dunno, man--that last scene, where House is half teddy and half human? That's just gross--I mean, try to picture it. I don't know what Alex51324 was thinking, there. Also, pooping dirty cotton balls? Way to pander to the lowest common denominator, there, pal.

I've always loved that last scene - it's all about how you picture these things and Teddy-ears plopping on and off just strangely fascinate me!

And the pooping of cotton balls, yay!! Hilarious. Also, making perfect sense.

I loved this story. The way House's personality changes along with his body is well done and hilarious.
I did find the ending jarring, however. House goes through this trial to learn a lesson, I understand that, it's a fairy tale. But for him to suddenly declare his love for Wilson, especially since this revelation came to him while he was a teddy bear, seemed out of place to me.
