Humor, angst, het, slash, drabbles, epics or vids,
cryptictac does it all, and makes it all seem easy. Or maybe not easy, especially in the case of some of her fics which may tear out your heart, but at least with Ticcy it all seems real.
Well, at least when Ticcy intends for it all to be real. After all,
The Mysterious Tube of Lube was all about taking a

God damn, ask a difficult question, why don't you? ;-) Hmmm. Well, I've been doing a lot of thinking over a particular plot bunny of late, one I've shared with you over IM - I'm going to remain coy about revealing any, though. I kind of don't like to be too out in the open with my ideas in case someone likes them enough to run with the plot bunny themselves. Not that plot bunnies "belong" to anyone, but I spend so much time thinking over my plot bunnies that I become really attached and possessive about them. XD
What's different about RP-ing for you that draws you to it more (these days, at least) than writing "traditional" fics? The immediacy? The unpredictability of it? Your partner in crime?
I'm going to be super, super lazy and direct you to my answer to Licia's questions - I rambled longer than I needed to about this exact very question you've asked here. ♥
Why do you gravitate toward playing House more than any other character, and what about his personality to you like to play around with the most?
I think everyone gravitates most towards a character they most identify with. I can't stand it when people "identify" with House in that wanky "omg I am so like House because I have a bum leg" or "I am so witty and funny like House" way that a lot of fanbrats like to exercise - but that's not the identity I'm referring to. What I mean by identify is: a personal experience the character had that's similar to yours, or a particular worldview that you share with that character, or a particular personality trait you share with them. After all, the reasons why we grow to love and care about characters is because we empathise with them on some level. I find House's struggle with people and struggle with trust something I identify with. I like to explore that side of him because it's something I struggle with myself. And writing is something that people use as a tool to deal with issues. Writing House is not only something fun and exciting to do, it's in a way cathartic. I pour a great deal of emotion and thought into writing House fic. I pour even more emotion and thought into roleplaying House the character. Writing him is a kind of extension of that coping tool that I mentioned in the 'interview'.
Are there any stories you are too busy/lazy (hey, you said it) to write, but would like to see written? Any pairing you would like to see more?
MORE WILSON/AMBER. MORE HOUSE/STACY. MORE *GOOD* HOUSE/CUDDY. AND MORE *GOOD* HOUSE/WILSON. And maybe one day I will finish that House/Cameron fic I started eons ago because the idea of House/Cameron I have in my mind never seems to get written - that's something I need to stop being lazy about and finish, if only so I can say, "OMG I WROTE HOUSE/CAMERON". Because as much as I multiship, that's one particular ship I have a lot of problems with. Writing it and trying to make it plausible would be a big accomplishment for me, I think.
