A/N: My first 100 word drabble. It was tough and forced me to think more about the words I used, but I am rather happy with the result. This takes place right after Foreman tells Cameron that they aren't friends, but merely colleagues.
No Apologies
Cameron stands in the conference room, utterly stunned. It takes her a moment to process the words spoken so bluntly by Foreman. They sting, and burn, and her breath is trapped inside her lungs. She blinks, as if that will buy some time while she decides how to respond.
Foreman, meanwhile, has gone back to reading and makes no move to further acknowledge Cameron’s presence.
Reaching for the dagger in her back, Cameron swallows down the lump in her throat.
"This isn’t over." Her voice is quiet. She turns abruptly, exiting out of the room with her head held high.
