1.Name:
Jessica

2. Age (Must be at least 13,lj rules):
16

3. What are your strongest personality traits?
The need to please, probably. Or help people. I love kids and I love doing things for other people, but I can be stubborn sometimes. I make decisions most of the time and have a controlling personality.

4. What are some things you do in your spare time?
I play violin, I listen to music, sing, act, watch daytime TV (guilty pleasure), knitting, read very old books, help tutor elementary school kids, teach violin to 5-12 year olds, and of course, be on the computer, amongst other things.

5. What is one thing that you are really passionate about?
Helping people. I'm going to be going to college for education and hope to teach in the inner city when I get older. Most people prefer to have cushy jobs in the suburbs, but I want to go somewhere where they could actually use a dedicated teacher willing to do the work to help people.

6. What is one thing you would change about the world?
Well, on a small scale, I want to make sure that kids who usually don't get the oppurtunity get to learn, have a teacher who is willing to help them. On a large scale, I'd like to help even a few villages in the poorer part of the world get the help they need. I know it's very nearly impossible to get some things, but even just necessities would be satisfying.

7. What are a few of your pet peeves?
I hate arrogance, ignorance, and selfishness. People should know there's always someone better than them out there, they should always look to accept other ideas and people, and they should be willing to help those less fortunate than them. There's only a certain degree of any of these I can take before I go insane.

8. Who do you admire? (Don’t put yourself, be creative)
I admire educators and mothers. I know they're very underrated in today's society, considering people can "do so much more with their lives," but teachers and moms take on the most important jobs - raising the next generation. Without the benefit of good parents and teachers, the world would collapse on itself. They're the real ones who need to be acknowledged.

9. If you could meet any person who would it be?
I know this is silly, but Sherlock Holmes. Childhood crush put aside, I think he was the most amazing man in all history and was the original sleuth. One just has to love him.

10. Give me a quote that fits your personality:

11. What are your future aspirations?
To be an educator, and possibly after college debt is paid off, go into the peace corps and teach English and AIDs awareness in Africa.

12. Are you a pessimist or an optimist?
Optimistic for the most part

13. What’s more important to you-friends or family?
I guess it depends on the situation. Whoever needs me more will usually be who I am going to help or be with.

14.If you were a body part which would you be and why?
Oh my. Well, going with the less obvious perverted response I would normally go with, I'd have to say I would be a hand. Hands are so versatile and do so many things - and I like to think I can do that too. They express the way you feel, reflect your emotions, and can be used for good or evil. Hands are also nuturing and I like to think I have a bit of that spirit inside of me.

15.What is your fondest memory?
I'd have to say, the best memory I have would have to be... well, what comes to mind isn't one exact memory, but many compiled together. I love to perform and I would say my fondest memories are all while playing the violin or being on stage. It's just about being looked at and applauded for being amazing at what I do ^~

16.What are a few of your fears?
Heights. I hate heights so much. After heights, I'm not a huge fan of germs either. I don't touch door knobs, for obvious reasons ^~

17.What song/movie/book/fictional character are you most like?
I've always felt very connected to Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. I don't know why, but I see a lot of myself in how she deals with her family and those around her, especially the annoying people in life. She stands up for herself though, and makes sure that she doesn't really go against her ideals. Plus, who doesn't want their own Mr. Darcy to whisk them off their feet?

18.Who is your least favorite House character?
Cameron. I don't know why. She bothers me so much. I think it's the fact that she lusts after House and House is Sherlock Holmes to me, and well, Cameron is NOT Irene Adler, so it's unacceptable =P.

19.Does it matter if you are stamped as a character of the opposite gender?
Not at all =]

20.Will you promote the community?
I'll put the stamp in my profile, if that counts.

Please post at least one clear picture of yourself.

I'm the one with dark, short, curly hair holding the Mark and Maureen plushies ^^
