Voxified, your doubts are well-founded, indeed. But the rich fantasy inside my mind has *this* happen (ignorance is bliss!):

1. House is temporarily pain-free and able to walk without a cane due to the ketamine (though how he'd be able to walk without so much thigh muscle is beyond me).

2. House wants to know if Cameron is still attracted to him now that he isn't visibly damaged. He flirts with her and tests her, and she is, indeed, still attracted to him. She begins to think that they can have a relationship and starts doodling "Allison House" and "Allison + Gregory" on patient charts.

3. House learns that Stacy and Mark are separated. He wonders if he could be in a relationship with Stacy now that he can walk. Maybe now, he thinks, he can put the whole infarction and its aftermath behind him. (Remember the end of "Honeymoon" when he goes home and tries to put his full weight on his right leg?)

4. House visits Stacy in Short Hills and this results in his pushing Stacy onto the bed (the promo scene) and making mad, passionate love to her. House wants Stacy back, but she's unwilling to make a commitment, afraid he'll send her away yet again. She says she'll think about it.

5. A few days later, as Cameron is opening House's mail, she finds a letter from Stacy. Since she likes to interfere in House's relationships (Stacy, his parents, etc.), she opens it and reads that Stacy enjoyed reconnecting with House and is considering his offer.

6. Cameron gives a repeat performance of the "You just couldn't love me" speech to House and makes an appointment with a therapist.

7. Since we know House remains miserable, when the ketamine stops working he sends Stacy away again.

1. Realistically, there's no way he'd be able to support that much weight on that leg, but if the House writers are suspending reality that far, then we can.

2. She begins to think that they can have a relationship and starts doodling "Allison House" and "Allison + Gregory" on patient charts. Okay, everything in 2 but that part I agree with. Cameron is immature, but not 3rd grader immature. Hee.

3. "Honeymoon" -- touche. However, he was also rather drunk then.

4. Kind of the premise of my new fic, but less to do with House being able to walk again. Hmmm... Note to self: Write hot sex scene that starts that way.

5. Possible, but I'm so disgusted by the fact that they're bringing House/Cameron to the forefront again I can't stand thinking about it.

6. LOL, can't really see her getting an appointment with a therapist since she'll indubitably blame everything on House rather than herself.

7. Good ending.

I'm evil; I just couldn't resist! :)

Oh, yes! Please DO write hot sex with House/Stacy! *blushes*

I KNOW! It will be so unbelievable if they really do go anywhere with that storyline! It will completely compromise the whole show!

*sigh* She needs SO MUCH help!

Well she DOES whine like a 3rd grader. I'll give you that.

I'm seriously thinking about it. I've never written that before though, so I'm pretty sure it might be complete crap. I'm going to *try* it anyway. Whether or not it will be post-worthy is questionable.

Actually, in the first season, I almost rooted for House/Cameron. *Shudder* However, that was before Stacy was ever brought into the picture and I was rooting for it for shallow reasons *cough*to see House kiss someone and or shirtless *cough*
