Specifically meant for when you get rid of something that you've been keeping around "Because I could sell it" or "It'll be worth money someday (but really it won't)" or "I might need it" or "I could do something with this" or "I'll put this away... later..." I.E. packrat items, or the stuff they make get-rid-of-your-crap tv shows on HGTV about.
Taking out the garbage does not count. Only selling/donating/giving away/pitching items that only qualify as clutter & not as daily-use items, or are only getting kept through misguided sentimentality & not because it actually means something to you.
