So . . . I have assessed that my dolls' wigs are in kind of a bad way. Never mind that *I* need a haircut and have nothing to wear to the NY Dolpa (and have holes in most of my socks, this is what happens when you put things off), I can't have them looking shabby. D: I have tried poking DoA, but I found the volume of threads a bit overwhelming (

Um . . . I don't really know, I kinda figured maybe I'd decide who got to go based on who I could get stuff for :P Naoya and Jynx have both had their "default" wigs for a very long time and don't really have anything else - but I think I'm screwed when it comes to them, because Naoya needs a larger 8-9 (so for example most Kon'd wigs wouldn't fit) in a red color and Jynx needs an intense pink in 6-7 (she looks bad in peach tones). Naoya could probably do okay in something other than the bright red (discontinued LeeKe red) he has now, like a wine or a . . . whatever that red color is that Classic Majesty makes. Jynx has only ever successfully worn LeeKe DF80. >_o Stellan could use a new wig in a milk/white, Sahara is still having hair issues and needs copper or some shade of brown . . . and anyone going would not argue with new shoes because I haven't gotten new ones in ages. It's a stupid coordinating thing, you get kind of tired of what you have, I guess! And heaven knows I'm kicking myself for not getting like ONE h. Naoto set or something that I could steal bits from to make whatever I put together cooler. Annnnd I'm really wishing I had some new Everpurple eyes or something ;_; Mainly for variety ><

So I can't post a WTB because it would be a very silly long list D: lol. But basically someplace like Dollmore or something is fine, as long as I can get some wigs that would be decent quality, and maybe one or two other small things - and actually get them BEFORE I leave. >_o;

Have you checked JPop for wigs? Apparently, they're having a sale right now on their Monique Gold wigs. I don't know how much that will help you for your boys, but maybe for your girls?

Have you tried the bigger KonDoll size? Konlin sells 2 sizes for SDs, the smaller DOT size (usually closer to a straight 8) and the SD size (Volks SD size).

I have a couple pink Dollzone wigs that are closer in size to a 6-7 - technically they're for the DZ 1/4 dolls, but their heads are closer to Unoa size. I'm not sure if Dollzone is quite the quality you're used to, though. The fibers aren't as nice as some of the other companies.

When do you leave for Dolpa?

Ah I'm looking now . . . they do have a red one that might work for Nao since he's kind of a girly man :X And they do have at least one pink . . . though I've only ever gotten one of the gold label wigs. It seemed okay, but it was a mohair one, I've never seen one of the fiber ones. And no I only had the smaller Kon'd size - I only ordered from there once. It was when they'd just started, I'm not even sure they had two sizes at the time, don't remember.

I'm leaving Fri the 6th, so I think if I ordered from like. . . CanCan or somewhere with airmail, it wouldn't very likely come in time.

I'm a fan of the Monique Gold fiber wigs. I have one, I know digital_grrrl on chitown gets them quite often. ^_^

Kondoll has added a few wigs recently, but I'd check with Konlin if they're in stock before actually ordering. Our most recent order on chitown was held up by a couple weeks before it was shipped. Although, that was mainly due to the shoes in the order...

Have you checked Soom for wigs/shoes? I'm not sure how long they take for prep time, though..

I just checked Soom, but it looks like most of the items I was interested by are out of stock >_o Hnnn I guess maybe I should go with Jpop dolls.

Uhhhhhhhhh another question. What's Dollmore's average order time? I'm flying AirTran, so it may not be an issue - but I'm concerned about baggage policy changes and mayyyyybe I oughta be getting one of the Dollmore bags >_o It doesn't break the carryon rules like the Volks bags do.

Honestly, to get your items in a faster turn-around, DoA and JPop are probably your best bet.

KonDoll can be a bit slower, but if you let Konlin know you need it faster, she'd probably put a rush on your order.

As far as Dollmore, I'm not 100% sure how long they take to ship. The only orders I've done through them have been group orders I've ran, and those had bodies included so it's been a bit slower.

I'll scrounge around DoA as well, and see if there's anything I can find that might be of interest. :D

Hell yes! The monique gold fiber wigs are awesome. They are super soft and you can really style them (they're free moving).

(Kanazawa Volks has several h.naoto sets leftover from both the last Dolpa - SD13 boy and girl and SD16-7 boy, possibly girl too, and the SD16-7 set from the Dolpa before that - if you want one... ^_~)
