back from LA Dolpa and still kicking
I am back from the LA Dolpa and attempting to recover. I started the trip with a lot of sleep deprivation, some family stress, and a traumatic experience with surly gate agents who confiscated my doll bag (never fear, no one incurred damage, through some luck). But the dinner was fantastic and the market went really well, I think. I was very surprised at the response I got.
I only regret that I wasn't more with it since I think I could have been a lot more social than I was - sometimes I was fine but others I was barely clinging to consciousness via caffeine. I had to drop my customize contest idea, but since I made some investment in the supplies already I'll probably make it anyway for myself. Anyway, I will post a little report tomorrow with the photos - they should be up tomorrow night. Unfortunately I actually got like . . . no pictures of my own booth before the market started. WHOOPS. I also was too tired to haul myself out of the room to go to the meets, which I feel bad about . . . I didn't come home with loot really, but I did buy the SD16 boy boots which I adore (they smell like a new Cadillac), and I won a Volks pattern book set which is cool too. ^^
But I have managed to get up a temporary bit of info sales-like on my doll site, and put up some of my back photos. They've been posted here, except for Gideon's, which I'll link behind the cut.
