Ingress sits on the rug in the sunny corner of her classroom, reading a book of illustrated fairy tales. Sometimes she still enjoys the classics. Even if the girls don't always do enough of the fighting.

The pictures are pretty, though. And if you color in some hair on the princes, they become princesses easily enough.

Jack comes into the classroom with his satchel over his shoulder. "Good morning, Ingress!" he says cheerfully. "What are you reading?"

"Hi Jack," she says, putting a bookmark to save her place. "Just fairy tales. It's the old one with the pretty illustrations."

He sits on the rug with her and turns the book to see the cover. "Old things are often the best things. Do you have a favorite?"

"Well, I like Hansel and Gretel since Gretel's smart about stuff, but witches aren't really like that. I like Sleeping Beauty, too, because I bet I could get through all those thorns. I could open right past them!"
