In the Parlor
There is a formal parlor in the House of Arch. It is rarely used, except for special occasions.
Hiring staff to teach the children of the House is a special occasion, indeed.
Tom and Door are dressed as they would be for an important diplomatic meeting. Both meet the candidates as they escort them into the House from Milliways, and they take turns conducting the actual interviews.
