Zuko is staring at the wall in another fine sulk, or was when Lan and Nynaeve left. They have few qualms about leaving him alone occasionally; he's not inclined to active self-harm, and the bedroom is locked and warded as always, with everything private moved to that room now. And the House of Arch has its own security measures.
So Zuko gets to stew on his own, while Lan and Nynaeve head to the House's courtyard.
He's working through sword forms, tireless and intent. The book she's poring over, meanwhile, is probably the reason for both her constant scowl and the particular edge of speed he's pressing himself to.
