More people are in the common room since the earthquakes have gotten worse. It's a large, comfortable room - very 1970's in a way, what with the shag carpet and long sofas. But it adjoins the main House of Arch library, and that adds a bit of class to the avocado tones and fake wood paneling.
Sometimes it's hard to find just the right rooms in the Underside to join to your associative house.
In any case, Tom passes by someone he doesn't quite recognize, though she seems quite familiar.
