National Enquirer
Just wanted to let you guys know that Hugh's sudden departure from the "House" set last week made it into the latest "National Enquirer" (Rachel Ray on the cover). I read the rag while I was walking around the supermarket last night, otherwise I don't normally read it. *cough*
TAKING IT ALL WITH A LARGE DOSE OF SALT...
In summary, the article (accompanied by two photos of him at LAX, also seen here) cites a source who said that Hugh and Katie Jacobs had a fight in Hugh's trailer, he stormed out and drove off in his Jeep (!!), leaving Katie behind in tears. The source also says that this isn't the first time Hugh and Katie have had a serious fight, but they are the best of friends with a love/hate sort of relationship. Hugh's emotions tend to run hot lately as the stress of 16-hour days wear him out. So, from the set, Hugh drove to LAX for a London-bound flight. Once home, he stayed in for most of the time, occasionally stepping out with a baseball cap pulled over his eyes. An Enquirer employee tried to talk with him at Heathrow before his L.A.-bound flight, but Hugh only responded with humming to the tune of "Strangers in the Night." (LOL) And then he returned to set on the 29th. The funny thing about all this, the Enquirer points out, is that Hugh was wearing the same clothes on both flights (that appear very House-y). Oh, and he was planning a BBQ for the "House" folks for 10/28, which wound up taking place without him.
