I see a series of funny, failed attempts to get it on. And everything conceivable that could get in their way does.

Like they're getting hot and heavy at House's and then Foreman calls with a dying patient. And of course House tries to ignore it and is macking on Cuddy while Foreman chatters away on speakerphone, but Cuddy makes him go to work instead. And then they're at Cuddy's house and either Rachel starts crying just as things are about to get good, or the babysitter arrives early and walks in on a half-undressed Cuddy straddling House. And then maybe they're both at work late and House tries to convince Cuddy nobody's in and her office is a perfectly private place... and Nurse Jeffrey or Wilson or someone interrupts them. And the whole time both of them are getting increasingly frustrated. It wouldn't end there, either! They'd finally get a chance, home along, no distractions, but it would be after a really long day and they'd both be way too tired, and also entirely pissed that they're too tired, because well, how sucky is ( ... )

Agreed! That's why I'm not actually upset that House and Cuddy didn't get together sooner. I've loved the years of subtle sexual tension just as much as anything else. :)
