EVENT STUFF

Mar 26, 2011 19:34

Two events are coming up! We've got the races/creature event and then the one involving being descendants of original Luceti settlers. The first one is pretty straightforward I think? I'm going to try and go with the Jabberwocky plan for Harry, so there will probably be a big ugly monster chilling on the roof of house 26 come tomorrow. Any other ( Read more... )

Bullet points make my life easier. sacrificemyself March 27 2011, 02:31:56 UTC
- I was actually thinking about turning Ron into a Jack Russell terrier, partly because it's his Patronus and partly because seeing a normally perky breed of dog walking around like a grump is hilarious to me. But it's not nearly as hilarious as the idea of a terrier chilling with a giant Jabberwocky.

- I was thinking about the boys being real bros, too, though I don't know if we had an extended family thing going. Plotting posts, I should read through them. -_-

- For some odd reason, I want a Hermione. Call me crazy. (Psst, I think you linked the wrong place there, bb.) I tend to like straightforward posts on ATP, but meh, no one ever agrees with me anyway. ^^'

- Depending on when it is, I'd love to meet up! I don't get time off yet, so it would have to be a weekend (unless it's around Good Friday, which I get off). We can discuss, if it's possible. :)

- Terrier!Ron sounds adorable, despite how grumpy he'd probably be. It would be amusing if terrier!Ron climbed onto Jabberwocky!Harry's back and rode him around.

- I think the only thing I have so far is that Harry is related to Arumat somehow? The plotting post is huge. -_- Failing getting a family together, they could lead a group of orphans?

- I WONDER WHY. But yes, now that we've lost Stella, I want one too. :( (THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR HAVING 7000 TABS OPEN. this should be the real one.) I'm not sure how much of a difference a straightforward one makes versus a flashy one, but they're a lot easier to work with.

- I'm thinking April 14-21, though my flights aren't confirmed yet. I will have some weekend days up there though! /waits for Jessie to get in here, since I don't know all the details about the commute to New York ;_;

Indeed they do! sacrificemyself March 27 2011, 03:47:23 UTC
- Jabby-back rides ftw?

- Augh, yeah, don't have a head for huge right now, since LJ hasn't given me any notifs in a week and a half so I'm tracking everything manually now. Hope this doesn't sound lazy, but please let me know if we end up doing family things or playing Oliver Twist. ^^'

- It would be kind of awful, letting Ron finally build up the courage to do the whole relationship thing properly, and along comes another Hermione with no memory of anything whatsoever. Because, y'know, he doesn't have enough reasons to sulk.

- Well, let me know and we'll see what we can do. Coincidentally, I've been wanting to see How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying starring a certain DanRad, but I've been unsuccessful in finding anyone to come with. If it's still playing by then (and I think it is) and it works out with your schedules/finances, maybe we can give it a go? It's totally optional and by no means the only thing we can do together, but I thought it might be relevant to your interests.

- FTW!

- Are notifs still being terrible? Mine have been hit and miss lately so I can't tell. :( The LJ addon for firefox was helpful for tracking threads when I used to have it. Maybe that might help? I'll let you know! And I was thinking if no one steps in to parent these two, they could still be orphaned bros or something?

- Harry feels so bad for him regarding that. Not that they could really talk relationships at the moment anyway (since that involves Malfoy), but I think Harry would want to help them out some how. He's been watching the UST for far too long.

- I will! We actually have tickets to go see it on April 19th. >> I don't know how it would work out financially, but I do not have to be coerced at all into seeing it again if we could manage it. From what I hear, the run of the show is expected to go all the way until November. DanRad is always relevant to my interests! As for other stuff to do... I'm not so sure yet.

..Sol I love you but I cannot afford to see the same show twice. XD

If you wanted to try grabbing rush tickets for any of the other shows though, I'll be happy to research how much it would be / how many hoops we'd have to go through for cheapie seats<3

Other shows as in other days of that one or other shows that are running on Broadway right now?

... Because I could be convinced to cram in all kinds of overtime to buy tickets to see it again. >>

OKAY.

.... speaking of avenue q one of the writers also worked on the book of mormon which is like the only other broadway show i know of is out right now. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW WELL THAT WOULD GO OVER.

DID YOU SAY BOOK OF MORMON
BECAUSE I THINK I HAVE AN EMAIL WITH A DISCOUNT FOR THAT but it might have only been march tickets I should check but that means switching to a gmail account that isn't involved in getting notifs THIS IS HARD.

I DID SAY BOOK OF MORMON. But it's by the South Park dudes and I have no idea if that would count as too offensive.

What other ones are out there?

Girl.

Girl.

Have we never discussed my love of all things South Park before. I've been whining for MONTHS that I have nobody to see Book of Mormon with. XD

I checked out the rush ticket system for BoM (since I also checked my email and yeah, the discounted coupons only ran through the 3/23 show). Here's what we'd have to do to see it in an affordable way:

A limited number of tickets for each performance will be sold through the lottery. Entries will be accepted at the box office beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance for up to two tickets.

Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $32 each. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner. Tickets may be purchased in cash or with a valid credit card. Tickets are subject to availability.

Performance Schedule
Beginning March 28:
Tuesday - Thursday @ 7pm, Friday @ 8pm, Saturday @ 2pm & 8pm, Sunday @ 2pm & 7pm

Neville has no notifs (it is with his account that I hold out HOPE) so I might not know when this gets answered BUT regarding bullet 3, we have tickets for the 19th, if you'd like to make a day of it!

Also, for Sol, I still kind of need to you to set serious flights because I really do need to give notice so I can have off and like. Get you. :| COMMIT TO THINGS. THINGS LOVE YOU AND WANT COMMITMENT.
There's not a lot of details about commuting to new york. We can go whenever the hell you want to go, and it takes about an hour to get there. I'll probably also want to be fancy and make you ferry over on a day when it's warm out, because the ferry is fancy and pleasant but not an everyday thing. XD

AND THEN I WENT BACK TO THINK ABOUT PLOT.

Oh, derp. Maybe I should just be replying with a journal that IS getting notifs. XD

IF IT'S IMPORTANT, HISOKA GETS IT TO ME FASTER.

/REPLIES TO HISOKA BECAUSE HIS LIVEJOURNAL EMPATHY IS TURNED ON

I AM WORKING ON IT. I'm pretty sure the days will be the 14-21 but we keep going back and forth on actually getting the flights booked. I WANT TO BE COMMITTED. I AM SO TIRED OF THIS NOT BEING COMMITTED but nana is a travel agent and knows some kind of voodoo and she wants to check the flight prices later tonight. I WANT IT TO BE REAL ALREADY.

The ferry sounds cool! I miss boats but it's kind of hard to find one while being landlocked. :( Does the commute run all the time? I feel so oblivious.

There's a bus that runs every hour on the hour a block away from my house. XD It doesn't run on Sundays, but trains are forever<3 (though trains involve a short drive + parking before trains can happen, so the total NYC travel time jumps to 2 hours amidst the confusion). The ferry is the shortest time spent actually traveling, but runs the least frequently and pretty much not at all after 10, but there are enough transportation options available that there is always a plan B.

IN SHORT. Whenever you want to get into new york, I can get you there and arrange for you to stay as long as you want to hang.
