Challenge #3

Pimp Your Favorite Communities, Fests or Challenges! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Well, then! Let's go. :)

tf_rare_pairing - a comm dedicated to rare and unusual pairings in the Transformers fandom. There are new prompts for multiple canons posted weekly. They're also on Pillowfort and Tumblr.

prowlxjazz  - focused on the pairing of Prowl and Jazz, though they accept non-romantic J/P-centric works as well. They run challenges for the anniversary of the comm and for Hallowe'en.

tfspeedwriting - every week 5 prompts are posted and users are meant to write as much as they can in two hours on whichever prompts tickle their fancy. You can get a surprising amount done in that amount of time.

Jetasaurus
(Pillowfort) - I can't tell you why the idea of Grimlock/Starscream appeals to me, but it does, and if it appeals to you too, here's a comm for you. :)

MaccadamsOldOilHouse (Pillowfort) - For posting fanworks and hosting discussions. Remember the pre-Strikethrough LJ comms? That's what it's meant to recapture.

SecretSolenoid (Pillowfort) - A Transformers winter holiday gift exchange! The exchange is finished for now but comm membership remains open. They're also on Tumblr and Twitter.

whatif_au - monthly multifandom AU challenges. So much fun! Plus you can always go back and do older challenges.

intoabar - a crossover challenge based on the idea of two characters from different fandoms, well, walking into a bar and interacting with each other. I did this for the first time last year and it was a lot of fun. :) Signups will open again in, I think, June.

trope_bingo - Sign-ups are open for round 14. You get/generate a bingo card and play with the tropes on it until you get some variety of bingo, anything from single line to full card. I love this one and just signed up for my third round of it. :)

wipbigbang - A Big Bang designed to encourage you to finish those WiPs languishing on your drive. Your story needs to be a minimum of 500 words for you to sign up and the finished piece should be over 7500 words. By default, your piece(s) will go up for art claims, too.

smallfandomfest - a biannual prompt fest, with signups currently open. I haven't participated recently because I've been focused on Transformers, which is decidedly not a small fandom, but I had a lot of fun the times I did.

smallfandombang - a 10K word big bang for small fandoms. I haven't done this one, but it pairs with the above com so well.

fanfic_instability - each month an intro is posted and you can do whatever you want with it in whatever fandom(s) you choose.

spooktoberchallenge - a Hallowe'en challenge with a couple of cards of prompts that you can mix and match in whatever way you like. They welcome original work too and, like Snowflake, it's a low-stress challenge with no real deadlines.

story_works - a variety of different challenges, for whatever fandom you like. The current challenge is a paranormal one, running until January 31.
