After questioning Allen Winkler, Billie goes for some coffee at Java. She had tried to let Eric and the girls know she'd be home soon but she wasn't getting any service for some reason.

She races inside and walks up to the counter.

Chelsea accepts her coffee from the barista with a grin because it's her absolute favorite. Then, she hears Billie's voice as she orders, and Chelsea swivels around to see her. "Mom!"

"Hey sweetie." Billie smiles at her oldest child. "I didn't even see you here. I thought you were out with your dad and the little ones."

"Nope! I was at Countess Wilhelmina and went out to grab a coffee." Chelsea raises her coffee. "What's going on with you?"

[billiereed]

"I was paying bills and answered a dispatch call. I just got done questioning a citizen of salem and writing up a report...."

[colorfulchelsea]

She blinks. "Oh, for Dean's murder?"

[billiereed]

"H-how did you already know about that?" Billie makes a face.

[colorfulchelsea]

"Oh, well-- I heard it on the news. It was all over Countess Wilhelmina's tvs. I mean, the connections he has to this town-- it makes the Salem news fast."

[billiereed]

"I told Officer Jackson to keep the media to a minimum but apparently I was too late." she shrugs. "I am actually pretty happy about this, can you imagine? Dean is finally out of our lives for good."

[colorfulchelsea]

"But. Didn't you say that last time?" She laughs a little, humorlessly. "And he came back."

[billiereed]

she smiles. "Yea. But I saw them take him to the morgue and everything this time and apparently he's been dead about two days."

[colorfulchelsea]

"Yikes. And they really don't know who did it?"

[billiereed]

she shakes her head. "No clue. We're waiting to hear a report from forensics. I'm not really supposed to be sharing any of this with you, but..." she grins. "It's Dean and I really don't care."

Chelsea laughs. "And there goes your professional ethics!"

[billiereed]

Billie laughs, nodding. "Right down the john, but oh well!"

Chelsea grins. "But it's Dean. It's a good thing he's gone."

[billiereed]

Billie nods. "I can't wait to tell your dad, but I'm sure he already knows now too."
