Morgan/Biillie/others @ the hospital The Results Are In

Morgan tapped her foot impatiently. She'd already changed Casey 10 times since she and Billie had arrived at the hospital the night before. Billie had just woken up, and was now sitting quietly with a cup of coffee, one Morgan had turned down in favor of an apple juice and oatmeal from the cafeteria

Billie took a slow sip of her coffee. "I am eating..." she defended herself. She looked at the plate Morgan had brought her. She was eating...sort of. The croissant had a bite in it, though it was more like a nibble. And the fruit...she'd eat later.

"I'm eating." she said again.

"I've seen birds eat more than you." Morgan pointed out. "I know it's hard to eat, but you need your strength...to find Colin."

She went on, "And you need a nice comfortable bed, you look exhausted."

"Gee thanks." Billie mumbled. She took an exaggerated bite of the croissant and chewed it, then swallowed. "There, happy?" she asked.

Billie watched as Morgan merely shrugged and made another bottle for Casey. The kid was eating like a mad man the last few hours.

Billie looked back down at her magazine and flipped the page, pretending to read.

Morgan was just burping Casey when Lexie came towards them, looking fresh as a flower. She looked at them both,arching an eyebrow.

"Didn't either of you go home and sleep?" She asked.

[billiereed]

Billie shook her head. "No." she answered. "I fell asleep, and so did Morgan. We just woke up."

"You slept here, in the hospital? On those chairs?" Lexie asked, incredulous. "Morgan, honey, this probably was not the best place for Casey to be sleeping. He's been exposed to all sorts of things now."

Morgan's eyes widened. "I...I wasn't even thinking. Oh my god."

[billiereed]

"Relax..." Billie said quietly. She stood up and stretched. "Just take him in for his check ups and I'm sure the doctors will make sure he's fine. I'm sure you can even get a check up today. Lexie, don't freak her out she's a new mother and she just got her baby back." Billie warned.

Lexie shot Billie a look, ready to ask Billie what her problem was. Instead, she kept her mouth closed, reminding herself that Billie was really stressing out at the moment over her child.

"Well, girls. I think you'll be happy to know that the results are in."

Morgan's ehad snapped up instantly. She set Casey back down in his stroller. "And...?" she asked, her heart pounding.

Lexie looked between them. I can either hand them to you to read, or read them to you." Lexie offered.

"I'm sure it's best if you read them, Lexie." Billie answered. She looked to Morgan for confirmation, and she nodded.

Lexie nodded as well and opened the envelope with the pages containing all the information. She scrolled the first page and flipped it over.

"It looks likeMorgan is Casey's biological mother, indeed. Congratulations, Morgan. I am very glad you finally have your son back." she smiled at her, then looked at Billie.

"Billie..." Lexie touched her shoulder gently.

Billie smiled. "I...I'm fine." she smiled back.

Morgan allowed Lexie to stand by Billie, while she celebrated joyously by talked to her son.

"I know that you've been through a lot, and how hard it is...I'm really proud of you for being honest though. I really commend you for being courageous enough to give Casey to his real mother."

[billiereed]

Billie nodded. "Yea... good ol Billie, right?" she sat down, shaking her head. "I'm happy for Morgan. I really am. In the mean time, I not only am missing a son- but I have to tell everyone in my family what happened and make them live the same nightmare I'm living. I'm just so tired of doing this to them."

Lexie sat down next to Billie and hugged her. "Oh, Billie, honey..."

Morgan heard Billie, and sighed. "We're going to find Dean and make him pay. And you will get Colin back. I'll make damn sure of it." she nodded.

[billiereed]

Lexie nodded. "And I'm always here if you want to talk or just vent. We'll do coffee soon, okay?" she rubbed Billie's arm and then stood up. "I have to get going. I have a lot of patients to see. Morgan, make an appointment with a pediatrician to have Casey looked at."

As Lexie walked away, Billie looked at Morgan. "Thankyou..."

"What for?" Morgan asked, surprised.

"For being a good mom to Casey...I can see he's going to be just fine with you. And... for having the confidence that we'll find Colin." Billie smiled.

"Oh. Of course." Morgan nodded. "We really will find him, Billie."
