life update
I have been so busy lately and thank God! I am so glad to be working again. I have been working as the TD for The Actor's Theater of Indiana for Sisters of Swing and they have asked me back to design on the next show (opening the 1st week of August). It is a great opportunity to be able to design for a professional company! The show I am working on is called "A Year With Frog and Toad". Maybe you have heard of this on the broadway series. Anyway its great for kids and super exciting to design thus far. I can't wait!
I started at IRT today as sort of their summer cleaning extravaganza. By that I mean we primed and painted the office all day. But it was cool to be back there working and being around a great group of people. I can not wait to start officially in August.
As far as other theatre news.....well I have been offered another design position but i don't want to jinx myself so I will let you know when I know for sure. I really feel like I'm dreaming right now. I am designing and working in theatre. It what I wanted and here it is. I didn't expect it all to unfold so quickly but I can't complain. 75% is a good attitude and the other is hard work. TIP***People will refer you to others if they like you and want good things for you but you must want good things for their cause in return. (aka work hard, don't bitch, and do a good job w/out being asked to)
In other news...
I don't know if I wrote about it but I am going to court for my car accident in May on Monday. I am screwed! The other guy has an attorney. We can't afford one and to get the cop to show up you have to have 10 days worth of notice. Well I didn't get to him in time so all I have to hope for is that the judge will see the police report and take his word. WISH ME LUCK!!!! :(
