1) Where did you begin 2008?
Wow I don't remember. Probably at Mitchell Cirker's NYE party? Or was I someplace else?
2) What was your relationship status by Valentine's Day?
Single. I have always been single except for a few misguided attempts at relationships.
3) Were you in school anytime this year?
No, but I wish I had had the idea to go back two years ago. Scratch that. I wish I had not freaked out and avoided dealing with the idea of going back two years ago.
4) How did you earn your money?
Temping and singing.
5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
No thankfully as I have no insurance.
6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
No.
7) Would you relive 2008 over and over again?
Not for love or money.
8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
Nothing. I hardly ever do.
9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Yes, Edd and Paul. Now divorced I guess not by their choice by by a vote of the people of California.
10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Yes, but no one close.
11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
Yes, my niece Ann had a baby.
12) Did you move anywhere?
No but I had only been in my new apt for a month when the year started.
13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
The best of the lot were a divine Tristan at the Met and a performance of Hairspray on Broadway.
14) Are you registered to vote?
Yessiree
15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2007?
No. I quit my temp job in May over frustration that they had strung me along for over a year with the promise of a perm offer that never materialized.
16) Has anyone betrayed you in 2008?
Yes. See above.
17) Where do you live now?
Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
18) Describe your birthday?
Decent for a change. A string of dinners with friends and good food. For once my Bday didn't fall on a Jewish holiday so I only worked as a temp on the day of my birth and didn't have a rehearsal or *shudder* Rosh Hashanah services as I have in years past.
19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2008?
I think I've done almost everything I never said I would do again between 2002 and 2004.
20) What has been your favorite moment?
Lesley's birthday party. That was the best. Rehearsing Walkure Act 1 scene 3 with Mitchell Cirker and Camille Gifford. Wandering around Zamora, Spain and looking at 800 year old buildings and churches.
21) What's something you learned about yourself?
I'm too old for most of the crap I put up with. Major chances in 2009.
22) Any new additions to your family?
Grand niece.
23) What was your best month?
May-June when I was in Spain.
24) Were you in a relationship this year?
Believe me if I'm ever in anything most people would consider a relationship, it will be headline news.
25) What music will you remember 2008 by?
I have 28 gigs of music on my ipod. I have to pick one piece of music?
26) Who has been your best drinking buddy/buddies?
Eric Malson (most frequent), John Gideons (most beverages), Lesley Watson (most fabulosity).
27) New friend?
Lots of new friends. Too bad some of them are on another continent.
28) Favorite Night out?
The entire week in Rehoboth in August. And Lesley's Birthday Party.
29) Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?
Yes. I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more. I'm making changes that are at least 2-5 years overdue.
30) Do you think 2009 will be better or worse?
I think the first half is going to be brutal but it will start getting better by the summer.
