Of course Jacob and I talk a lot, and I'm always happy to explain things to him. I try not to be pushy though, keep it fun instead of "being educational". Lately it's gotten pretty wild

So the drive to and from my house was much like my walk to the library with Jacob. I told you about it - he spotted a bumper sticker that said "Bush makes billionaires out of millionaires" and asked if it was positive or negative. When I explained it he stated "But why don't they try to make the poor people richer, and the rich people poorer?" This became a twenty minute discussion of modes of government. (Warning - you have a budding communist on your hands.)

What I realized as I read this, was that Jacob is lucky to have you as a parent.
Really. If I would have asked my parents about aerodynamics as a child, they would not have been able to tell me in the detail I would have liked. The same goes for economics. And many other things.
You know a bit about a lot of things, and a lot about a good bit of things. Jacob is lucky to have you as a father.
