It's been a while
It's been months since I posted here. So much has been happening, where to start?
Jacob and I moved into Great Oak co-housing community. Moving was a huge task but we are very happy here. Our old house is up for sale. Cleaning and packing and fixing it up was a very consuming job for many months.
Other parts of my life are picking back up. I'm going to work more regularly and paying more attention when I'm there. I've started dating and going out more with friends. So I have fewer evenings when I'm lonely (or need to vent) sitting in front of the computer. More of my support is in person now, and less online.
There are all these milestones and anniversaries. Nancy's birthday was not hard for me but now we're coming to the hard time. Just the way the air feels, makes me think of a year ago when Nancy was so sick and we were all so miserable. My birthday and Jacob's half birthday are this week, I'm thinking about how those celebrations were a year ago.
Really Jacob and I are doing quite well. I'm doing a little more introspecting lately (just spent 15 minutes staring off into space contemplating the last paragraph..) but that's not exactly bad.
In the odd coincidences department: I heard from two different sets of Jacob's long-ago playmates last week. Or at least their parents. It's nice to renew those connections. In a few weeks we'll go to Tupper Lake and renew connections with many of Nancy's family, I'm looking forward to that vacation.
