A few weeks ago I asked Jacob what his favorite vegetable is, and he replied "edamame". Huh. As far as I know he's had it once, a meal cooked by George at Sunward. It's fun to eat because it's like peas cooked in the pod, you get to eat with your hands and squeeze the beans out of the pods. Yes it's very tasty too.
Today at the grocery store Jacob reminded me that he wanted edamame, so we found them, frozen in the organic section. And ate a whole bunch tonight for dinner. Jacob finished them all. This is the most vegetable success I've had with him to date. Cool, we've found a vegetable (OK, probably a legume, but it's green, that counts in my book!) that he actually likes. Hopefully this will lead to more.
Also, we baked bread in the bread machine last weekend. It was good.
Lily (the poodle) has taken to sleeping with me when I let her. She's actually a good bed companion, she settles right down, doesn't hog the covers, doesn't toss and turn. I kind of like having the company.
