So yeah....it's been awhile!! Sorry, been extremely busy. So what has been going on since whenever I last updated?? Lots. School's out and I did ok. Summer is almost over now and I hate to see it end. This summer has been the best of my life!! Went to Athens for a long weekend with the girls. It was fun....never been there before. I've been out to the lake more times I can count. Thats one of my favorite places!! Oh yeah...most important...I met a guy!! Yes a guy and he is amazing!!! Not only does he totally understand me, he can finish my sentences and he knows exactly what I am thinking. He is the sweetest guy ever. Every time he picks me up, he has me a Diet Coke(my favorite) waiting on me in the truck. He will watch cartoons and girly movies, he doesn't mind talking about my shoes, and most of all...he treats me better than any other guy has ever thought about treating. The only bad part....he works on the road. He is an electrician for a fortune 500 company and travels to different job sites. I see him just about every weekend cause we start missing each other to much. He's the bestest!! So enough mushy stuff. Let's get serious now.....June 27th I found out that the precious little girl i babysit and her grandparents flipped a car a couple of times. The grandmother(who was also an 8th grade teacher of mine) died on the scene. The grandfather had a bruised lung and cuts and scrapes. Sidney, my babydoll, had to be airlifted to UMC in Jackson because of multiple broken fingers, broken pelvis, and possible back injuries. I speed down to Jackson the next morning to see my babydoll. She looked so small in the hospital bed....I wanted to cry, but I had to be strong for her. Test after test after test we soon realized that there were no internal injuries or back issues so she was sent home with a cast and a wheel chair. After funnral arrangements, visitation and the actually funnral came the hard part. Settling back into life without a dearly loved person. It's been hard for the family but through God's grace, mercy and presence they have made it. Sidney is now walking around and acting more like her old self. I thank God everyday for keeping my babydoll safe and for teaching everyone a much needed lesson. Life is to short, you aren't promised tomorrow. Tell people you love them today because you may never get another chance. Appreciate what people do for you because you will miss it when they are gone, don't take advantage of something or someone always being around because God's plan is bigger than anything we could ever imagine. It's like an old quote I heard over and over through my 20 years....."Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift and that is why we call it the present."
