whew.
I was up at the butt-crack of dawn & out the door before 6am for the Silver Stand 1/2 Marathon today! There were about 5 of us on quads, a shitload of rollerbladers, and many many runners. All said & done I had a blast, not so much while it was going on though.I don't think I really got into the zone until mile 10.
* Finished at either 1:13 or 1:28...not sure if the clock was set for skaters still or runners.
* Only one runner passed me (and Vex, who was near me the whole time) at 1:08. That is just insane...he was pretty cute too.
* Crossed the finish line & promptly fell on my ass. Yep, rubber mats & wheels do not mix.
* Part of the course was on base and hadn't been paved since 1967...not exactly fun.
* Um, choked down 1/2 a banana after...as much as I try to avoid them, I figured it was probably something that would help.
